Helping SEN Students Feel at Home

Hey lovely, hope you’re okay.

Every month, we choose one Pretty Perfect Gesture - something thoughtful, something useful, and always something that gives back to the people who make our community so special.

For August, we had the absolute privilege of helping a very special classroom get ready for the new term.

A teacher at a local SEN (Special Educational Needs) school reached out, hoping to create a new space for her students. With limited funds and even less time, she dreamed of creating a space that felt warm and supportive for her students - a place where they could feel calm, inspired and ready to learn.

Of course, we had to help.

We donated a full day of our time and £300 towards classroom resources. That included paint for the walls, sensory items to support learning and regulation, and a few thoughtful touches to make the space feel more personal and inviting.

From the colours chosen to the little details placed around the room, every part was designed with the children in mind.

Learning looks different for every child, but every child deserves to feel seen, supported and safe.

It was a privilege to be invited into that space. To hear what the children needed. And to work alongside someone who gives her whole heart to her class every single day.

And you made it possible.

You’re the reason we’re able to do this. Every time you place an order, donate, share a post, or cheer us on in the comments, you're making these gestures possible.

✨ What next?

Our Pretty Perfect Gestures happen every month, and they always start with a simple idea. If you have one, we’d love to hear it.
